Hello everyone :)

I've lurked for a while and now I want to introduce myself.
I'm from Italy and while I can read and listen English without a problem I can't write with the same confidence so I probably will not be a great poster :D but I really want to thank everyone here for the great support and all the advices that I find every day, it's the first time I try a diet so I really can use every information :)

I'm 40 year old, have a wonderful husband and a lovely little daughter. My life is very simple but really happy :)

I have a very solid build and an athletic past, I've never been thin but during the last 2 years, after the breastfeeding, I gained a lot of weight and last month, when I stepped on the scale for the first time after the pregnancy (almost 5 years ago!) I was shocked: from 145 to 185 lbs.
So my mission now is to return at 145!
I'm counting calories and making about an hour of cardio training every day, from April,1 to today I lost about 10 lbs so I'm on my way :)

Thanks again for keeping me motivated! :o

I'm Italian and I wish to visit Italy someday and learn Italian! (That's where my family is from)

I just joined too and English is also my second language (well actually third because in Barcelona we all speak Catalan and Spanish...but anyway...). So welcome!

There's a UK chicks forum but I was wondering how many non-UK european members there were, and especially from the mediterranean countries (as we have similar food cultures).

(Ciao, in fatte io ho visuto en Italia qualque mesi quando ero studente e capisco l'italiano, anche se non lo so scrivere molto benne... e il cibo italiano mi piace da morire, magari troppo e per questo sono qui adesso!)
