Hello! I'm fat.

Hi, everyone! My name is Alicia and I'm 23 years old. I'm a college student in Florida and I'm very fat. At my heaviest, I reached over 390 lbs.

I was always a chubby kid and gradually became a very overweight teen, and after a while, a morbidly obese adult.

Morbidly obese. What a horrible term. When I picture myself in my mind, I'm not anywhere near this big. I don't really feel "morbidly obese", but I attribute that to my age and I know that if I don't make a change soon the problems will begin soon and they'll hit me fast. So I'm doing something about it and slowly but surely, I believe I'll make it to my goal.

I'm borrowing the "10% of total weight" deal for my goals and rounding that up to the nearest 5 which would make my first goal 40 lbs.

At the very least, it'll be an adventure. I wonder if I'm hot under all this fat? :p

Oh you will look amazing! You are probably "hot" now. Sometimes we are just not accepted in our over weight bodies. And those bodies are truly unhealthy for us. I was prediabetic, on heart medication, and on a sleep apnea machine when I finally woke up and realized I was killing myself! I have been on the MRC program for 50 days and I have lost 35.5 pounds and almost 32 total inches. I want to see the real 33 year old me, just like you. Its a lot of hard work, but if we put our minds to it we can do anything! I am excited to see your progress. Looks like you have already lost 20 lbs! Congratulations!
Best Wishes Angela

I think I know how you feel. For me, I'm miserable with the way I look, but when I THINK of myself and it's not in the context of body, I don't think I really picture myself as this fat.

Anyway, good luck!!! :)

I feel the same way about myself girl (the not feeling like I am as big as the scale says I am thing). I've become much more aware since I starte this. I think you'll do just fine :) This website has been an excellent tool for me as far as motivation and someone to talk to goes. Good luck! :)

Hey, Alicia! I am new here, as well. I understand completely what you mean. We are very close in age, I'm 22. I don't picture myself as big as my weight sounds either, and when I actually look in the mirror, I wouldn't guess I weighed that much if I were just looking at another stranger's body.

Good luck to you, and congrats on your weight loss you've already accomplished!

ETA: Although, I DO see and think that I am big...the number just sounds bigger lol.
