Time to take care of myself
 

Hi Everyone!

I'm a 42 year old mom in California. I'm 5'5" tall and weigh 220 pounds. Recently, I had a breast biopsy - it was benign, but the whole thing scared the crap out of me! I decided that it's time to take better care of myself, starting with losing weight.

I can relate about the breast cancer--I am a survivor. Since I do self-checks & get mammograms when I should, I think that's the main reason why my breast cancer was found in the early stages and after following the treatment plan formulated by my doctor, I am now a survivor. Like you, I got a wake up call from this and have adopted a healthier lifestyle.

One of the things that is really pushing me to get healthier is my mom. She has diabetes and some other health issues because she's over weight and doesn't take good care of herself. I don't want to deal with those health issues if I can! I'm hoping I can change myself before it's too late!
