Hello, everyone!

  • I started my journey 7 days ago. I'm a college senior, 5'5" and started at 300 lbs. My plan is a low-calorie diet, and I lost 7 pounds my first week. My goal is to weigh 175 pounds by mid-May 2011.

I realize this may not be entirely feasible, but it's finally time to try. I want to look "normal" when I graduate and start a new life.

When I was a sophomore in high school, I went from 214 to 134 in about 7 months by starving myself all week (less than 100 calories a day) and binging on Saturdays. Needless to say, it was a bad idea and I destroyed my metabolism. I stayed at that weight for about 3 months before I lost control. Over the next 5 years, I've managed to turn myself into what I am today. Now I'm trying to turn myself around, and I decided being surrounded by you all (I've looked at every thread on the goals met page!) is the best way.

Anyway, that's my story. Nice to meet you all
  • Welcome!

I must say the starving thing just freaked me out. 100 CALS A DAY!? that's like one apple or something! though i'm really glad you gave up on that starvation/binge plan of yours, I must also say you really had alot of determination and willpower to do it.

I probably wouldn't last a day, with all the temptation around me!

The determination and willpower you had then can drive you once more to lose all the weight! In a healthier way this time of course.

    Good luck! =)
  • Eating healthy and in moderation has always been my problem — I'm actually MUCH better at starving than I am at exercising and being healthy. That's why I need all the support I can get this time around!

    Thanks for the welcome
