3rd times the charm?

  • I am no stranger to this weight loss roller coaster. I have in the past been successful for a bit but then fall off the "I'm healthy and feel good wagon". It's funny last year around this time I was actually almost 35 lbs smaller and feeling good. I started to get the "you look great!" comments and suddenly I found myself working out less and less and eating more and more. Put me in the spotlight and I suddenly can't handle the attention. So here I am determined to become a healthier human being.
My name is Wendy and I am mom of four kids. I have a 15 yr old son, 13 yr old son, and 10 year old twins (boy/girl). We are a pretty busy family between band, basketball and everything else in between. As much as I run I swear I should be a tiny little thing but we also eat horribly! On the run as most be know, we are constantly eating crappy food, we all could use a little more veggies in our life!
I'm excited to get started and look forward to getting to know everyone better! Away we go!
  • it takes however many times it takes !
This is my, I do not even know how many times, back on the weight loss wagon. It can be a drag, you look up from your busy life and all of sudden we have gained all this weight....This can happen when everyone else in our lives is more important than we are. At least this was my experience. Not being nice to me, and taking care of me does not make me a bad mom or wife. I (we) all deserve to make ourselves a priority.
  • I know how it is, because I been there myself. This time I finally understood this a life commitment and not only to loose the weight. I now prepare healthy recipes, before I would buy lean cuisine or eat the same thing almost everyday. And eating boring food everyday is not realistic to keep doing forever.
  • It definitely is a lifestyle choice. I can't spend a year eating sprouts (not that I don't love them because I do) to go back to eating burgers and fries. I have the knowledge it's applying it that is killing me! =)
