Hi All =)
My name is Rachel I come from the rainy state of Oregon and I'm 24. I'm hoping to use this forum as a source of motivation for myself. I'm at my heaviest weight ever and I find myself losing motivation to do the things I love because of my weight. I started counting my carbs on Wednesday and so far dropped 7lbs.! I try to keep my carb intake between 50-70 grams as this has worked for me in the past. I was my happiest when I weighed around 210 because I hold my weight very well. Currently I'm at 295 so my first goal is 265. Ultimately I would like to be under 200 and go from there.
Anywho, that's it!

Congratulations on your 7 lb. weight loss already! I am also a low-carber and am doing Atkins. I love, love, love low-carbing. :cheer2:

This site is absolutely a huge source of motivation....and for support. And if you read around, you will see that it seems to have been integral in the success stories of so many. It's a fantastic tool to help you reach your goals. There's a term in the legal world...res ipsa loquitur...which means, "the facts speak for themselves". The sheer number of those experiencing success here show just how motivating and helpful this site can be.

I'm a low carber also. Love WA and Ore. I live in Neb. After college I want to move either to Wa, or NM. (Possibly somewhere else). Keep working on it. This is a good site.
