day 2
I did pretty good yesterday. Tried to make better choices and eat healthy. It's going to take a long time to lose this weight, so it's going to be many little choices just adding up. Night time is the hardest, watching tv. I will try to snuggle with the kids more instead to keep me busy.

I hear you on the night time i feel that way too. If I can't take the need to eat any longer i get a piece of meat (left over chicken breast or one or two slices of meat) and drink a hot beverage(hot tea with no sugar, it doesn't have lots of caffen or just hot water). It's better than eating something you'll regret later. I fell off the wagon the week of the 18th of January by being hungry two hours after dinner. I had a cupcake and it went down from there. I got back on track on the 18th and so far so good just hope i don't make a mistake like that again.

Ah, another nighttime nibbler! That's my downfall as well! I've been on my diet for about a month (10 pounds down so far!!!!) and I think being able to reduce my evening grazing has been the biggest thing. Instead of sitting there with high calorie treats (I was addicted to chocolate covered peanuts) I make my own "Chex mix" with lower calorie, high-fiber cereal and force myself to pick just one piece at a time instead of my usual handful. I can nurse a cup of the mix for more than an hour and it's only about 100 calories.
