I'm new!

Hi ladies! I'm Angelique. I'm 26, mom to a 5 year old, and FAT. I wish I could say that I was still clinging on to the "baby weight", but I actually lost it all quickly after giving birth to my son. The sad thing is, I've accumulated all of this weight in the last five years. I've gotten lazy. I stopped caring about what I ate. Let's not forget that having a child WRECKS your body, metabolism, hormones. I'm a wreck lol.

My problem isn't really that I don't know what to do. It's that I don't have the willpower to follow through. I've always been a Monday dieter, and by Tuesday I've failed. I have good intentions, but bad habits.

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START!!

But I'm trying to take it one day at a time. And hopefully being here will give me the motivation I need to keep it going. :)

:wel3fc: Hi Angelique!
You taken a good first step coming here and you're exactly right, it's day at a time - a good place to start is with your eating plan, if you haven't decided on one, maybe begin with some small changes at first, they can add up to big results - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired. Try the 20 somethings and the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation. Check ou the Diet Central section to get info on all the different eating plans - it'll help you find what's right for you.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired! :df:

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee

:welcome3:Angelique!

I'm new here myself. I also know what I should do but for various reasons just don't.

Your only 26 and have a lifetime ahead of you. Start taking the steps to get you where you want to be. Let that girl out who you know is inside. :)Don't beat yourself up if you get sidetracked. Life is a marathon not a sprint!

You are totally worth the time you invest in yourself. Your 5 year old will see that and pattern after you, so not only will you get the benefits but you will pass them along.

Glad to see you here!
