Heya

Heya!

I'm Deb, I used to weigh 118 kg a two years back, and with weight watchers I got it down to 94. I was having a lot of trouble at the time, cycling 12 km a day and going to the gym 3 times a week as well.

I since found out I'm celiac, been gluten free for a year, moved country twice, and had pitifully little control over the food around me for a while. Now I'm actually cooking for myself again, I'm going to give it another shot.

So this year I'm doing gluten free weigh watchers. I used to live in ireland and know the irish WW system, now I live in Canada...and I'm sticking with the system I know, as I just signed up for Karate 2x a week, and the local meetings are on either Karate night, or during working hours. Well *Grump!*

I am hypothyroid and have PCOS as well, just to make life really easy.

So...back on the bandwagon.

Deb

Welcome! I am from Lethbridge too! Small world!

Good for you for getting yourself back on track, you can do it!

:wel3fc: Hi Deb!
Sounds like you're back on track with a good plan and a can-do attitude - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them. You might want to check out the forums here addressing different challenges like thyroid, PCOS and Celiac - you could be a great support to others facing these too. Try the WW forum and the Weight Loss Support forum, they're active and very helpful - also the Success Stories section is a must for motivation!

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired! :df:

All the best - good luck with your goals - 2010 is our year,
Lee

Hi Lee,
I'll go and check out those forums and see what I can find that works for all three conditions...*Grins*

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I have a plan, and now I have support. No way I can fail, right?
