Wink I'm back (minus a couple friends)

I started here last Summer and was doing well and exercising everyday. But then my 'friend' deiced to do the same thing and it got to be a very bad competitive friendship and I had a major setback because of it and just stopped working out, I even gained a few pounds

But it's a new year !!! I cut a few toxic friendships out of my life, which was hard but, she and her husband are out of my life (due to many other reasons as well) and I feel so relieved !

I pick up my new treadmill in about a week and a half and I'm so excited. When I was living at home I used my parent's treadmill twice a day everyday and I kept up with it, and at that time I was the smallest I have ever been in my adult life. So for that reason I have hope that it will be the same when I get my own treadmill.

Welcome back! It is hard to cut some people out of your life but you should be proud of yourself for doing it and realizing that it was an unhealthy relationship.

I think you will have no problem getting back into your old routine. You just took a huge step!

Welcome back, and good for you! You'll love your new treadmill, I am definitely getting my money's worth out of mine which was sort of an early xmas gift to myself. Its so nice to be able to walk/run at your own convenience.

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome back ! It was definitely a huge step in ending bad friendships, and it wasn't easy.

Last week I was at my parent's house and I used their treadmill and I felt great afterward. So that along with watching what I eat, and incorporating some weights and a couple fun dance videos I have, I feel like I'll finally have a full routine to finally make some progress

Hi WSChick!
It can be so hard to let go of some people in your life, even when it's what has to be done but it sounds like it was the right thing to do and you're back on track with a good plan & a can-do attitude - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you back with us! As you know, there are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them - just jump back in and get back in the swing of things.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome back - you're in the right place!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
