Default Hello

I'm new to the 3fc forums. I need to lose over 100 pounds. I have recently became a vegetarian and borderline vegan. I have started to notice differences and that is awesome...I just need a little extra support and friendship during my journey. I'll be 36 this year. I've been married for almost 3 years w/no children. I do photography on the side and I'm obssessed with my Wii Fit. I have decided to make some minor and major life changes in
2010. Heres to a new me I look forward to meeting new support buddies.
Take Care.

Default Newbie to Newbie

Hi Phojo,
I too am new here. I am 43 (what?who said that??!) and I am staring down a loss of over 100 lbs. I was a vegetarian in a past life before I met my hubby (flesh boy - you know, I 'll have a steak with a side of steak?!) I was a lacto-ovo vegetarian (I do love my cheese...obviously). I still have definite vegetarian leanings, and am actually looking forward to steering my diet more in that direction now. I remember feeling fantastic. I want it back. So, here's to us and a brighter, lighter future! Any information I can share or support I can give, I am willing-just let me know!

Thanks for the welcome YumYum. My husband is also a flesh eater. We do coexist fine. I am a new veggie. Started the day after Christmas just to get a rush for the New Years resolution. I feel great! I've cut out the soda and I'm finding new foods and products. I am quite excited for 2010. I look for to your support. Take Care.

Hi Phojo!
Sounds like you're off to a great start with a good plan - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a wonderful addition to any of them! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs. There's a 100 lb forum as well as the Vegetarian Chicks that might interest you.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in the success of my weight loss so far.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
