Smile New kid in the class, I am amazed at what I have found

Hello Everyone
I am new to the forum and web site. I feel like I just won the lottery and wanted to share it with someone who might understand.
Just call me Shorty!, I am 5 foot tall, and I dont know what I weigh, I would guess 200+, just piture a bowling ball. I have not always been this fat, but have always struggled with my weight and diet. The past 4 years I have gained approximately 80 pounds. I have been to numerous doctors, they all said you eat too much, when I give them a list of what I have eaten over the previous week, they said that I lied, I eat too much. The last doctor I went to I took my husband with me, we work together and live together 24-7, so he knows exactly what and how much I eat. He was very worried about me because I had begun to eat even less. He told the doctor what I had eaten in the previous weeks, as we had kept a list. She said that it could not be accurate, and that I needed to be a vegetarian. My husband was furious and I was hurting inside, and feeling like I just didnt want to struggle anymore. So I gave up trying to find out why I was gaining weight, Please keep in mind I had already had all the thyroid tests, blood work, xrays, you name it. About 6 months ago, my loving husband (who never sleeps), tells me about a diet plan that he saw on TV that talks about different body types and not everyone being the same, I just kind of said "yeah right, infomercial", I started reseaching, reading, checking consumer report on the 6WBM. I finally ordered it on 12/22/09 (still sketical), well I am still waiting for my package to arrive, but I logged on to the sight to see what my body type was, I took the survey, and I was AMAZED at what I saw, just by a computer program, they knew what foods make me nauseas, I went alittle further into the program and diet, and made phone calls to the support line. FINALLY someone who understands that we are NOT all the same. Finally someone is not telling me to eat the green beans they are good for you, they are telling me to not eat the greens beans they make you feel sick and they shut down your metabolism. For the first time in my life I feel like I just found the ANSWER. I will update to let everyone know about the progress. I wanted to share this, Even if it helps one person or keeps one person from giving up like I did, then I am glad I did it. :D

Hi Shorty!
How great that you finally found what is right and will work for you - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired - you'll be a great addition to any of them. There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee
