:carrot:Wow. I never thought that this could happen to me. I am 20 years old, divorced, and overweight. I am also a diabetic which complicates everything. I have recently started to have complications from the disease simply because I haven't eaten the way I should, I haven't exercised, and I haven't cared. Since the divorce I have found out about so many horrible things like the fact of my ex having 2 children born while we were together. I have been through so much and I have put myself down so much that it has to stop. In my mind my life has been over, but for some reason something snapped, and I looked up and saw where I am, and realized that no man is worth my life (except Jesus :p). I am someone and I CAN go back to the way my life used to be. Maybe not exactly, and there may be a few rough scars to heal, but I am going to do it. I am going to regain my happiness, my figure, and my health. I will never again let anyone make me think I am less than what I should be. From this day forward I shall return to the me that was created, not a put down me or a fake me. Just ME. This isn't the end. It's just a new road of a new beginning. Who's with me?!?! :carrot:

You've got a wonderful opportunity to turn things around. You're so young and you've got a great attitude, so I see good things ahead for you. Sounds like you're ready to get started - you have the determination to be successful and you're doing it for the right person (you!) -the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help choose the right ones for you and get through the ups and downs. You might even find the Diabetic forum helpful as well.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired! :df:

Geez.. it sounds like you've really been though alot. But your positive attitude is awesome! And very inspsiring :). You WILL DEFINITELY make it girl!!
