This Is My RE-Introduction

I used to post on 3fc A LOT about a year ago...then my relationship with my boyfriend at the time went haywire, we broke up, I ended up not having the computer/internet anymore, and everything backslid. Now I'm with a WONDERFUL man, we have our own apartment (and obviously computer/internet) and he's helping me get back on track with being healthy and losing weight.

Much like the ex, he loves me for who I am, however I feel as if I am not 100% who I want to be in this body...I don't feel like...ME. So I'm striving to be at a size that makes me happy. I'm also hoping to slim down so I will have better chances of getting pregnant in the future. Last but not least, I want to obtain better eating and exercise habits for me and to teach my future family.

Welcome back and good luck. It always helps to have a supportive SO. My hubby is so supportive in my weight loss. If he wasnt, I dont think I would have made it as far as I have. Good luck

:wel3fc: Hi redreine!
Sounds like you're back on track and ready to go, doing it for yourself - good for you - you can do this and we'll all be here to cheer you on!

Glad to have you back with us! As you well know, there are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! I like all the info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome back - you're in the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired! :df:

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee

Thanks everyone!

I'm doing my own custom plan...I feel it's the only way I will succeed. I can't succeed doing it anyone else's way, I've come to find.

I stopped drinking soda. I'm weining myself down by drinking sweet tea and slowly switching off to unsweetend tea.

Also, whenever I'm craving something bad, I eat nuts or dark chocolate. My boyfriend cooks healthy meals for me, and it's great. :)

Last but not least, when I feel an emotional eating craving coming on, he and I just head to the bedroom. ;) That way, I don't eat anything I shouldn't, and I get a little extra exercising in! :O

Hope that wasn't TMI. :P

Redreine, I love your exercise solution! I can't wait to tell my husband when I get home from work about this plan. He'll be estatic!
