Last 30!

Hi there,

I need help losing the last 30 lbs. This past year I have lost about 35 lbs due to some very bad IBS.... but now that my stomach is back to normal, I want to once and for all get healthy and stay that way!

I have never been a skinny girl but it wasn't until college that I went from being plump to being flat-out FAT! This has obviously taken a bit of a toll on my social life, especially in regards to my love life! But I am sick of being the "funny fat girl" and would rather be the smart/funny/interesting/normal-sized girl!

I have always worked out but have been more of a casual exerciser, and that is about to change. I recently moved to a new city and don't really know many people, so I have plenty of time for exercise! As far as a diet plan goes, I am not going to follow anything specific, but try to eat less junk food and I am officially giving up my soda habit tomorrow!

So I just wanted to say "HI!" and that I am super excited to reach my goal of 135!

XOXO,
Esme

:wel3fc: Hi Esme!
Congrats on your success so far - the support you need is here - you can do this - and we'll all be here to cheer you on!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different plans to help choose the right one for you and get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired! :df:
