Newbie!

Hi everyone!

I'm Chantele. I'm married to Will. We have three kiddos who are all four years old and younger. I love life besides my weight, so I really need to change that!

I've always had a larger build. In high school I stayed right around 180, and afterwards I lost about 10 pounds. But then I got pregnant three times in a row, and here I am at a whopping 234 pounds. In 2008 my husband deployed to Kosovo with the Missouri National Guard and while he was gone I managed to get my weight down to 180 from 232. I was very, very proud of myself and was loving my new body after being so large for 5 years. Then he came home, and that all went out the door. While I changed my eating habits, he didn't. So fast food, soda, and anything else I could get my hands on, and here I am at about the same weight I started at.

I sit everyday and tell myself that I was so stupid to not get back on track when I noticed my pants stopped fitting. But there's nothing I can do now except not make the same mistake again.

So here goes!

My plan includes doing the c25k plan on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and doing the 30-Day Shred on my off nights, and taking Sunday completely off from exercising. I plan to keep my calories under 1700 a day, and not drink any soda.

Nice to meet you all!

Chantele - welcome!

So you tell yourself you are stupid. I bet you accuse yourself of a lot of other things that make you feel bad about being you.

Stop that!

You are a worthy person fat or thin, and I bet you have personality assets you don't even recognize. Look for them. :)

:wel3fc: Hi Chantele!
OK - no looking back - no beating yourself up - we've all been there done that. Sounds like you're ready to go with a good plan - you can do this & we'll all be here to cheer you on!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! You'll also find info and first hand advice on different plans to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired! :df:
