Loosing weight in Dubai
 

Hi everybody.

My name is Rebecca and I live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Over the last 3 years I've put on over 30lbs and I'm really in need of a new look! It just so depressing to look in the mirror and see flab where once there was flat and see my thighs grow to twice their size. I've taken the proactive route now and joined up with closer diets online which is a UK based online dieting site. My husband, who's ex-army, has set out some conditioning exercises for me and I'm trying to do those 3 times a week and then I'll go out for a 3.5km walk another 3 days.
My mini goal is to loose 13/14lbs before I go away for Christmas and my big goal is to loose 36lbs by the end of march 2010.

Sounds like you've got a plan in place, have the determination and are off to a good start!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.
