Day One

Just finished registering. I am 48 yr old mother of teen sons who don't need me as much as they used to.

Just recently took a good look in the mirror and wondered, when did all this happen? I want/need to lose about 60 lbs

Back in the "stone age" I used to be a runner. Now at just over 200 lbs I can barely bend over and tie my sneakers.

Anyway, glad to be here. Its day one for me so here I go!

It's day 1 for me too (again). We can do this. I know what needs to be done, I just seem to choose not to do it. Well, that is not an option anymore.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

I've only been here a few weeks myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome aboard - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

I'm new here, too, and am actually counting tomorrow as Day 1 since I'm eating a bag of Doritos as I type this. ;)

I'm 46 and have twin sons who are 20. Like yours, they just don't need me as much as they used to, and here I am, a single mom with no one to mother! Guess that just leaves me with plenty of time to get myself back in shape. I would love to partner with you - sounds like we are in about the same situation!

Everyone here seems so nice and supporting... I know all of us - and that means you and me - can do this!!!

I am so very new to this forum, I am hoping you get this. I really don't know what I am doing. My sons are 16 and 18 and frankly are a PIMA (pain in my ***) .
