~*~ Hi Hi ~*~

Hi There..Im Tasha...
Im 24 and have been fighting with losing weight for 5 years now.
And Im tired of getting up and trying to put on my jeans and falling on the bed crying and grabbing a pair of sweats instead! :(

I was always skinny growing up (5'7" and 120lbs), but once I got married I started gaining weight. Now I feel like Im fighting a losing battle. Everytime I lose 20lbs and my self esteem goes up, I plateau and gain it all back. And so far it seems like the only way I have been able to lose any weight is to catch a cold of some sort. No matter how much I work out or active I am, or how much or little I eat.

I finally went to a nutritionist, and was told that more than likely my reason for the weight is because I dont eat enough. She also tested my resting metabolic rate and found it to be 2150. So according to the diet she wants me on I need to eat at least 2000-2300 a day plus 60 grams fat. :o Im not to sure about that, I have a hard enough time eating more than once a day on a lot of occassions. Or else losing my appetite for a few days. I think part of it was the whole time growing up I had my mom always telling me I was eating way too much...So I became paranoid of food....Although I will admit I have a very big weak spot for pasta and potatoes.

Either way Im going to attempt to eat more but Im also going to start Alli on Monday. I have to do it with out my husband knowing cause he isnt the biggest fan of me taking weight loss medication. But if everything turns out good and I lose the weight Ill tell him. Oh plus I have a friend that is going to loan me the P90X work out and we just bought a Wii Fit Plus. And with my husband being military I have access to a gym for free. So Im all good and set to go starting tomorrow morning! :carrot:

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

I've only been here a few weeks myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome aboard - join in by inspiring us and being inspired
