Newb, and totally stoked

What can i say?....Im a 30 yr old stay at home mom of 3 girls, and the wife of a US Airforce Airman. I decided to try fat smash, because...well....im not happy with my weight. Im goign to be honest and tell you that it is not so much about my health, but the way i look and feel. I have always been very image concious and until recently, I never had to worry about weight. I always complained about it, but it was never truely a worry. 2 months ago i did 2 things that are contributing significantly to my weight gain: 1. hysterectomy 2. quit smoking after 15 years. I know, I should be happy with the latter, but honestly, not so much lately. I do feel better in some ways, but not in others. Its nice to be able to walk up and down steps without gasping for air, but as i get heavier, thats not going to be the case. So, here I am trying to learn to eat healthy, since now with lack of nicotine...food seems to be my vice. As a smoker, i never ate like i should have, simply because i wasnt hungry like i should have been. I have to come to realize that though smoking can keep you thin, it can also do more damage than these extra 40 lbs i have.
Which brings me to where i sit now...wanting to relearn how to eat right, without really giving up the things i love most (sweets, pastas), FS seems like the perfect tool to use to reach my goal.
