New to Group, and Excited to be Here!

Hi there, I found this group today, and I am so happy I did. This looks like a great resource and I'm excited to get to know you all better - you're also so inspiring!

I have been a yo-yo dieter for the past few years, and I am really paying the price for it right now. I originally was one of those people who was actually underweight when I was younger and all through college I enjoyed the ability to eat whatever I wanted and never really had to exercise. As such, I've developed about 25 years of bad habits and have been struggling with a lack of discipline when it comes to exercise and nutrition.

When I got married a few years ago, I weighed around 130 pounds and I am about 5'10". I look back at photos and cannot believe how tiny I was. For all the time I spent worrying about my appearance, it's amazing to look back and see how good I actually looked in retrospect. But after I got out of school and started a full-time job, I lost a lot of my activity.

This time two years ago, I was weighed about 168 lbs. I started working out (Turbo Jam actually) and dieting and was able to successfully lose about 20 pounds in 4 months. I got so excited, I let everything go again and have gained a significant amount of weight back. About 2 weeks ago I decided to start on a program again to get my old figure back, and so I know weigh 184... which is down a little from the 188 I started at.

I know that I am capable of losing the weight, but I know it's going to take time and that alone is frustrating. I'm also struggling with the frustration I have toward myself for letting myself get to this point in the first place. And of course, the lack of confidence isn't doing me any good either.

I think this group will be a great motivator and support system as I continue on this journey to find the old me, or maybe a new me entirely.

So anyway, hi!

:)
