Hello from a newbie

Hi there! I'm Aimee from Anchorage. I'm 30 years old and have been having weight problems for awhile now. I let my weight get up to 208 before I finally got rather tired of how rotten I felt and decided something had to be done.

I'm coming to the realization that my weight is a mental problem much more than a physical one. I've used being overweight as a 'shield' of sorts, and I've let it keep me from living my life the way I want to.

I joined a gym about 6 weeks ago and I love it. It still shocks me that I can say that about a gym and exercise! I've been working out with a trainer twice a week, which has been a huge learning experience, and I'm working on eating better too. If only I didn't love pizza and Dr. Pepper so much. lol

I'm determined to change things. I know it's going to be hard and there will be days I'll want to quit, but I'm not going to give up.

I hope you are all doing well. :-)

Hi and welcome to 3fc! =) Dr.Pepper use to be my favorite soda, but I haven't had one in ages and for pizza if you love it a lot try to find a healthier way to make it. Maybe with whole wheat crust and some fat free cheese and some healthy toppings. MMm... talking about it makes me crave for some pizza! I haven't been able to find fat free cheese (the shredded kind) at my grocery store which sucks cause I love cheese. I'll probably just buy the low-fat cheese next time =( At your gym how much does it cost for a trainer? Just curious... Anyways I agree with you there will be some tough days where you will want to give up and want to quit, but try reading this site for noobs -->http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/meta...e-newbies.html Have fun and good luck! =)

You have to be a member for 20 days and have 20 posts.
