Hiya!

  • Hello Everyone!

I'm new to the site. What I'm here for is some encouragement, advice and inspiration. I'm a full time student and I used to live on fast food, junk food and microwave food and I gained about 45 pounds. Well, I'm in my second year of school and I definitely don't want to gain another 45 pounds this year. In fact, I want just the opposite. I want to lose 45+ pounds. So, any advice is welcomed and I look forward to meeting new people!
  • Hi and welcome to 3FC!

  • Welcome Lassilsa! I'm only pretty new here too, and it's a great place to find support and talk to people who are going through the same thing.

When I was at uni/college, I put on a lot of weight too. It's very easy - between drinking, late nights, take-away food and the cafeteria meals, it was a disaster waiting to happen. Plus, when you're out with your friends, I HATE being the odd one out and feeling like I'm missing out when everyone goes for pizza after a night at the club.

But what I will say is that I'm now 28, and have spent the better part of my youth overweight. Getting healthy actually never gets any easier and I WISH I had done it when I was younger. I had a lot of time on my hands at uni, and I wasted it being a couch potato.

I truly wish you all the best and I hope that you can succeed. No, I know you WILL succeed! We're all behind you, let us know how you go!
