I'm Anna from Minnesota. I've been "trying" to lose weight for quite some time now. I'm 24 and I was always overweight. I had lost weight in high school then I met my boyfriend and gained 40 pounds over the last 5 years. I am in desperate need to get rid of this weight. I'm hoping encouragement is what I need to get this thing started and stay going! :)

welcome Iam pretty new too...but besides our goal to lose about the same amount in weight we both also gained the weight when we got boyfriends! HAHA! We are all here to support you in your weight loss...just keep focused and small steps! Good Luck! :carrot:

Hi Anna, I am also from MN. Are you going to the state fair? Not alot of healthy food there! I was surprised Fox 9 was saying the best thing you could eat at the fair was the corn on the cob. What about the fresh fruit stands? Seems like that would be healthier than corn on the cob! The worst thing was deep friend candy bars....ya think???:dizzy: Welcome to 3FC

Welcome!! I'm new also!!! Also looking for encouragment and motivation is also what I'm looking for, but I know I have to encourage and motivate myself b/c if I don't it doesn't matter what anyone else says...KWIM??

Good luck...look around at ppls progress pics and that might give you a push...a nice little jump start lol.

yeah, I'm going to the fair on Labor Day and I always get the corn and now I don't feel as bad getting it haha. My boyfriend is a huge food lover and last year we completely pigged out on food. I really hope we aren't as bad this year. We are both trying to get fit and he always does a better job at losing weight than I am. I really wish that they had more healthy alternatives at the fair. I'm just glad that I have no interest in eating deep fried candy bars or twinkies.

well, I am new to, I do want to lose around 25lbs since I have gain more than that due to emotional eating. To be honest, its a reunion with all my family and since then I crave a lot of types of food.

So I have see something that might help me, let me know it works for you too.
