Default New! Might need some tips!

Hi everyone!

I'm Ashton, I'm 20 years old. I am not friends with my metabolism!
After a long summer of being really lazy, and not getting in shape like I planned to...I've decided to ditch summer as my 'catch up' time, realizing that any time can be catch up time!

I figure I've got about 40 pounds to lose, but it might be difficult because I'm really not into exercising.
For the past week I've been easing myself in, cutting out bad food, big portions, and I've started drinking lots of water.
I'm not big on cooking, so I might need some tips on fun healthy meal ideas!

I'm excited to change my lifestyle. Ultimately I want to be able to walk into any store and know that they'll have my size!

Looking forward to getting some helpful tips from everyone.

Hi Ashton, I'm new as well! Your post caught my attention when I read the line about walking into a store and knowing they'll have your size. I someday want that for myself as well! Best of luck in your quest! I'm not much into exercising myself (I spend all day chasing children at work, so when I'm home running is not what I want to do), but I have found that if I take a walk with a friend, that makes me want to go more often. Not because I'm exercising, but because I'm bonding with a friend and we can vent about whatever (I've also found that this "bonding" makes walks much longer!). Hope that might help a bit!

Yes! I did this a few days ago with a friend of mine, and it was refreshing and certainly more rewarding than going for coffee (where there are donuts staring me in the face.)
