Newbie:)
Okay, I have been excercising for the past month. I ran 4 miles 3 days a week. I gained 8 pounds. I am 46 years old. I have no hormones and I constantly snack! I eat when I'm nervous or bored. I went out tonite and bought "full bars" I am going to give it a shot. I need to loose 20 pounds but I am so discouraged. I had breast cancer 4 years ago and had to have my ovaries removed last year. I can't take hormones so weight loss is much harder. I'll let you know if the full bars help:)

Good luck you sound like you have been through alot, I have started to come on here during the times when I think I should be snacking. I am find it helps, takes my mind off the food and refocuses me on my goal. Maybe your weight gain is from gaining muscles, and given a while it will start to come off. Muscle does weigh more than fat and as you build your muscle your metabloism will speed up. I know that is something I really need to do!
