New here, have a couple questions
Okay, so I am ready to start my weight loss journey. I am doing it in small goals. Realistically, if I do a low fat/ low calorie diet and exercise 30 minutes a day, how much weight could I potentially lose each month?

Hi and welcome! It varies for each person. I have always heard that anywhere from 1 to 2 pounds a week is healthy. At the beginning, though, it is quite likely you will lose more than that.
Good luck! Cheers, J |
With cardio and a low calorie diet (I like dailyplate.com) You can lose 1-3 lbs a week. Remember, every one is different but those are pretty general results.

Hi & Welcome to 3FC! :welcome:
I agree w/the others. If this is a major change to your lifestyle, you could see big losses your first and even your second week. Usually, things should balance out to 1-3 lb loss per week after that. I see you had mentioned "low cal". Please make sure you're eating ENOUGH calories. Never go below 1200 a day. Check out the http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/calorie-counters-172/ They have some great tips on making the most of the calories you are consuming. Good luck! |
