Congratulations for deciding to get serious about your weight loss. It definitely takes a lot of motivation and determination to even begin something like this.
As far as my plan, I *try* to stick to around 1,100 calories a day, and at least seven hours of exercise per week. I usually do two hours on Saturdays and then take Sundays off.
I'm a vegetarian, which helps.... as far as foods, I try to eat a lot of fiber and protein...fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains. I have largely been staying away from sugar. My weakness has mainly been cereal, lol...namely the Kashi Go Lean Crunch - Honey Almond Flax variety.

And as far as exercise, I have a gym membership, and usually do quite a bit of cardio on the treadmill and bike, then finish with most of the weight machines in the circuit training room. Also, as I posted in another part of the site, I ran tonight, for the first time in ages, and I barely got winded. So, I'm thinking I will start doing that a few times per week. I was amazed that I've apparently gained enough stamina to run longer than 30 seconds without passing out. lol
