oh, hello there! i'm new.

  • Hey everyone, i'm new here and i've been having a bit of a rough time losing weight (read as: i can't get motivated to do so). I'm 19 and starting my second year of college the day after tomorrow. I started being overweight when I was about 11, and weighed my most during my 11th grade year (186 lbs). Then I lost about 20 lbs. my senior year through dieting, then lost 10 more my first week of college due to me not eating. Then, I experienced the freshman 15, and gained even more weight this summer due to an ongoing stressful personal life.

    Anyway, I'd really like to get down to about 135-140 lbs, as I'm tired of feeling sluggish.

    wooooo freshman 15...I remember those days. I know it's hard but you have to really plan what you are going to eat and try as hard as you can to make good food choices. Hang in there!

    I just started here, too - and our stats are pretty close! I'm totally with you on your journey. My ultimate goal is going to be similar to yours, but I'm taking baby steps here.

  • Hi, I'm new to this board but not new to being overweight! I have decided on the lap-band procedure and am at the end of all the requirements my insurance company requires. I have a tentative date set for Sept. 21 for the procedure and I am both nervous and excited!
