Hello all,

My name is Falyssa, I'm 22 from outside Fort Worth, TX.

I am almost at my goal-weight of 170, 10 more pounds and I'll have gotten down to my prepregnancy weight. Been a long time coming, too.

I got with this guy in 2007 who FORCED me to gain weight. I shot up to 263-265, all because he didn't want another man looking at 'his woman' I am losing the weight for MY piece of mind and my health. Nearly all of it in over a year, all of it being close 80 pounds.

I'm not on Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig, I'm not on any formal diet plan, my success is due mostly to not depriving myself. Yes, I do eat chocolate, and cheesecake, I just know when to stop :P My main form of exercise is walking, I do a TON of it. Between 60-90 minutes of a good, quick walk, 3-6 times a week.

In case you were wondering where my username and title comes from, one of my favorite bands is Finnish metal band Nightwish, really good music to exercise to, most of the songs are upbeat and quick paced. Having said that, the original vocalist is an opera singer, and the current is a mezzo-soprano. So don't let the 'metal' title scare ya off :P

Wow! Congrats on your tremendous success so far. I am on the starting end of my journey (again). Looks like we have similar goals. My SW is 257, but I hope to get down to 175.

thank you, Michelle and Shasha :) I know that I've dropped a bunch, just due to the fact that in November 2008, my waist measured 49 inches, and now it's down to 42! I was SHOCKED when i saw that!

Congrats on everything you've accomplished so far! You've done a great job...and I hope I can achieve as much as you have!
