I'm 20 years old and have been struggling with weight, body image issues, and an eating disorder for years. I'm a compulsive overeater and bulimic. Eating comforts me when I'm unhappy. When I gain weight, I freak out and throw up, or I restrict my food intake heavily. I'm currently working with a therapist and dietician for my problems. I'm looking forward to a happier life, and also looking to lose weight the healthy way. I've decided that joining this forum will help me in my goals to eat healthier and lose some weight.

Anyway, that's pretty much it. Hi!

Welcome! And kudos to you for addressing this NOW, and for getting a team to help you (therapist, nutritionist, these supportive chicks!) eating disorders thrive in secrecy and shame. keep us posted- we are here to cheer you on, cheer you up, or just listen when that's what you need. you are on the right path to a happy and healthy life. I know you can do it!
