New and in desperate need of an accountabiliy partner!

New to the forum....not attempting weight loss! About 3 years ago, I was able to successfully loose about 50 lbs.. swore Id NEVER gain it back... yet here I am - back up 35 and scared to death. I hate the way I look every day, and every Sunday night, I mentally prepare to "eat healthy" and "start working out" tomorrow... but tomorrow never comes.

I'm so excited to have found this site, and cannot wait to read through posts!!

If anyone out there is interested in becoming my accountibility partner... to check in every few days to keep each other on track please let me know!

Thanks!

Cindy

The people on this site have been so helpful in the short time I"ve been here, and I feel like I'm accountable to everyone here in addition to myself. It really helps to keep my motivation by coming and seeing others going through the same journey, seeing the posts of those who have reached goal and are successfully maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Good luck on your weight loss efforts!

Thanks everyone!

I appreciate it more than you know! I decided I'm not starting my workouts back on Monday- I'm starting them TOMORROW!

That's the spirit, Coffeechick! Just keep on going, one day at a time.

Think about what you can do today to make that change- pause before you put anything in your mouth and ask yourself is it for comfort or for fuel, is it healthy or not, are you hungry or not. Work exercise into your day in small intervals if you don't have a large chunk of time to workout- take a walk at lunch time, park further away from places you need to go to, etc...

One of the ladies here has a quote in her siggy that says something along the lines of, "A year from now you'll be happy you started". You've just made the start, now slow and steady to your goal!

Hehe... I fell fell into that "Monday" trap. One book of exercises was divided up and started on a Monday. Plus, I wanted my journal to be all put together week by week. It is easier to let the months roll by when waiting for the next Monday. Good for you for jumping in mid-week. We're here to pull for you.

Hi Cindy

Accountability is really important for me. I suggest you browse the different forums and find a spot to settle in and call home.

I started reading posts and learning about different programs. I settled into South Beach. I am following the plan, posting daily and finding friendship and accountability.

Best wishes finding what works for you. I had also lost weight and came here after gaining 20 last winter. I have lost it and 4 extra so far.
