I'm new here, and this forum looks like an amazing support group. To introduce myself, I'm Jinna from Canada, and I'm looking to lose about 15 or so lbs... I've already lost 16lbs since I started, and I know this last bit will be the most difficult.
Anyhow, for the first bit, I did Dr. Bernsteins diet program (it's a clinic in Canada). The calories that we're allowed just seemed to low for me; they claimed I was eating 800-1000 calories, but then I entered what I ate into my Sparkpeople account and discovered I was eating about 530 calories! So I was feeling pretty weak and lethargic all the time. Right now, I'm still in the process of slowly increasing my calories.
I've also had a history of being an emotional/binge eater, but for the past while, I've been doing very well with that. Fortunately, I'm at a very stable place in life right now

.... I try to listen to my body as much as possible. When I joined the clinic, I just let my impatience get the best of me, but after a month, I just felt so weak all the time. I'll be glad to finally have more energy again!
to 3FC's JINNA ~ I'll say that was way too low; starvation mode there, honey! There is a set amount of C's that you shouldn't go under to make sure that you are getting enuff nutrients for your body. You don't have that much to lose -- and the slower you lose it, the easier time you'll have keeping it off down the maintenance road ...
