Less of Me Will Be More of Me
Hi, I'm kind of new here, too. Tomorrow will be my third weekly weigh-in since dedicating myself to losing the fifty+ pounds that I've gained this year. I've been using this forum for about a week.
I've always been curvy and prone to being heavy, but since gaining a desk job and losing some important people in my life, I've packed on the pounds and now weigh 30 pounds more than ever before in my life. Not a good feeling. I finally reached my tipping point, something changed in my brain, and I decided to fix it. I'm an emotional eater, which is probably the most difficult aspect of this project. But I'm learning to be proud of myself for the little victories, and trying to train myself to take pleasure/comfort in denying a craving just as I used to take pleasure/comfort through indulging it. And I have some pretty great real-life friends who have been incredible with their support and motivation. That's made a huge difference this time. I guess that's it - I do have a blog for this project, but it won't let me post the link because I'm new :p So I guess this introduction will have to suffice! Have a great day! |
Hi and welcome to 3FC!

Hello and welcome!

Hi:sunny: and :welcome2:
I, too, am learning to celebrate small victories. If I eat something not on plan, I jump right back OP and visit my friends here. As long as I do that, I have a greater chance for success. Best wishes! |
Welcome!
I am new as well and would love to know more about your journey.

sharon,
I really love your post and how it addresses the new indulgences you have found. I did that too. A question I ask myself when I catch myself emotionally eating is, "what am I really hungry for?" It sounds like you are beginning to ask similar questions. I am glad you are here. You can absolutely do this. There is support here and answers too. Yay you for attacking this now! |
Welcome Sharon :) I definitely understand your story - same here, desk job and people no longer in my life lead to some not so great habits . . . good luck with your journey.

Hello and welcome! :) I too have 50+ pounds to lose. I actually want to lose 100 but I have patience knowing that this didn't come upon me overnight.
Much success to you on your weight loss journey! :) |
