droppin 70!!

hello my name is trish. i've done online dieting before on ediets but i'm kinda poor at the moment and i'm glad to have found this site. i usually do a lot better with my diet when i have a support system. i'm 5'8..my ideal weight is 160, my normal weight is about 202, i got down to 180 two years ago but struggled with my last 20 and ended up gaining it back. last year i quit smoking and started nursing school at the same time, along the way i met my boyfriend and fell madly in love . all these factors contributed to my 30 pound weight gain in a matter of months! when i graduated in mid june i was 230.5. recently i began a low carb diet but was not losing as quickly as i would like. i am now on the induction phase of atkins. my total weight loss so far is 7 pounds! i'm looking forward to chatting with you all and reaching our weight loss goals together! good luck everyone! :D

This is very similar to my own situation. I'm currently at about 210lbs but I am targeting 165lbs (another 5'8er here!). I am also trying to do this in the midst of being in graduate school --- and a lot of us probably know what sort of food is on offer at university cafeterias and food courts. I wish you all the luck in the world and look forward to reading about your journey.

woohoo great job losing your weight...and while in school too! that's the toughest part. i tend to stress eat..i tried dieting a few times in school but to no avail. i finally let myself just eat to get get through the last few months and diet when i was done. and thats where i'm at now. its definitely a lot easier now...and especially since i'm not sitting in a classroom for 8 hours a day. good luck to you in school and your weight loss journey!
