This is it...I had enough.

Hey everyone,

As the title states "I've had enough". Enough with my low self esteem, enough with the negative thoughts, enough of the size 20's and wishing I was a size 8, enough of feeling sorry for myself. I am taking charge and I am making changes. This is the start of the new me. I'm looking to be 80 pounds less, healthy and full of confidence. I've been fat all my life, its time for a change. I started my pledge today and wanted to start on the right foot. I am here to learn new things, motivate and be inspired, make new friends, and build a new me. I look forward to shrinking along with everyone. :carrot:

Great post. Keep up the motivation. I am new here as well and also highly motivated. You can do it :)

I have felt this way so many times but I can't ever seem to stick with it.

I let myself slip and it takes weeks or months for me to get sick of it again and start over again. But I'm 250 lbs now and I can't stand the way I look or feel. I just can't find it inside me to do anything about it.

Sorry didn't mean to be a downer. I was hoping your post would give me some motivation. Very best of luck to you!!

 You can do this! Really! And 3FC is a GREAT resource on your journey!

The trick is to build in enough rewards (of the good type) for yourself to keep your motivation high.
And keep a journal. It helps to write down your thoughts and emotions and to see what sets you off in a bad way.
Star and punkrock you just have to take it one day at a time.

Welcome! You can totally do this!
From brooklyn eh? Me too! (although it says levittown) maybe we can be buddies! Good luck!

Welcome!

I am new as well. I have also had enough of the low self esteem and feeling sorry for myself.

We can do this!

Thank you all so very much for the words of encouragement. It means a lot to me. Because I currently lack such encouragement in my surroundings. I know I can do this and I will do this.

To punkrock, Its hard to get out of your comfort zone, but just the fact that you recognize that you need to change is a start. If you fall you need to just get back up again. And continue moving towards that goal. As mentioned by Borntobefine, taking it one day at a time is the best way to go. If you need someone to remind you of your goal I am always here to help. I don't think the weight loss process is a one man show.

Thank you again everyone for the encouragement and tips. I will start writing my journal today.

I totally feel you on this one. I probably would have encouragement if I just outright told my family members I'm doing this, I know they'd be proud of me, but deep down I just can't talk about it with them, because they're all skinny and have always been skinny. They don't know what it's really like.

Everyone is so encouraging here; it is nice to see so much support. That is why I chose this forum.

I am new here and also plan to loose approximatly 80 pounds, but I also hope to quit smoking. So overall I look to be healthy. Two things I have been since about 5th grade is overweight and a smoker so I would love to know what it's like to be a healthy weight and smoke free.
