Reaching for my dreams
 
Hello everybody! :)

I'm going to be honest, I never know what to say when introducing myself. I'm 34, a bit on the silly side, (Ok, A LOT on the silly side!) and I am hoping to lose over 200lbs. I made my mind up in April that I was tired of sitting on the sidelines in my own life and I became determined to change not only my weight, but also to get serious about my greatest dream as well, to be a professional writer.

I'm very happy to be here, and I look forward to meeting everyone!

I've been counting calories and trying to make sure I'm at or even a bit above the RDA of fiber per day. I bought a Weight Watchers walking video and, well, honestly I have watched it a couple times, but I only did the program once. :o

Welcome Greendreamer,

You've made the first step to getting off the sidelines and back into the game. Even now your loss from start is wonderful. Just remember to take one step at a time. We all now what it is like to have a weight issue but you're doing something about it. Are you following a particular plan? I count calories and watch fat (I try not to add fat to anything). So far it's working. I am feeling so much better with more fruit and veg and a lot less rubbish. I love junk food but it doesn't love me. So, for weight loss to be successful for me, I have to banish the junk for the duration.

Good luck on your journey. Have a stroll around the 3 Fat Chick site. You will pick a lot of good ideas, truck loads of motivation and ship fulls of support.
