New to the forum but not to dieting!

Hi everyone. I decided last night I need to be more accountable in my journey to be a healthier me. Guess what, I chose ALL of you as my accountability team! Grats to you all and may we have lots of success and much less cake.

Basically I'm a 32 y/o mom of 2 boys (6 and 4) and the housewife to my darling Air force Husband. I'm pretty happy with my life except for 3 areas. I want to make oodles of money, I want to become a famous artist, and... (drum roll please) be healthy and have a body that makes swimsuit models cry.

Obviously the money thing might never be as we are an Air Force family, definitely other benefits from that though. I'm working on the famous painter thing by painting more often. That leaves the becoming the envy of Sports Illustrated cover girls. Ok, ok, I'll settle for being able to go to the pool and not feel uncomfortable, for now. So, team, lets figure out where I'm at right now so we can begin the sweaty process of swimsuit ownage.

I'm pretty normal on an active level. I play tag with my kids if it looks fun, I run full out if someone has scraped a knee, I occasionally walk the dog and I can carry a laundry basket up the stairs without dieing. Pretty good right? Well, not good enough to make me fit into the jeans I have from last year apparently. I might need to up my activity level a bit.

Last year my husband deployed for 4 month. Yes I missed him terribly! But... you know what I did with those 4 months? I worked out and ate right and lost 37lbs. I went from a tight 18 to a loose 14, sometimes a 12. He got home, we totally enjoyed my new body and I forgot all about the gym.

So here I am, my 14s are mocking me, my 16s are sung and my 18s are waiting to leap out of the deep dark storage closet. I doubt I'll ever be a size 4... I'm 6'1. I'm not into the turn sideways and disappear thing. I just want to wear maybe a size 10 or 8. So, here I am people... hope you're all as ready as I am!

I will keep those 18s in the deep dark closet dungeon FOREVER!

I think the biggest thing is to find an eating plan that works for you. There are soooo many out there. I know it is now harder to get a membership to a gym,$$$, so look around for some exercises you can do at home. An exercise ball helps a lot. Put the kids in charge to get those workouts done. We don't like to hear the nagging from our husbands, but we seem to listen to the kids. Most importantly do this for yourself, be accountable and realistic. Set little goals for yourself. Have fun with it! Good luck to you : )
