Hello Everyone! (Im new xD)

Well hello!, Im Hannah, im 18 and I weigh 140 pounds. I am 5'6 and I really want to lose 20 pounds. Ive always been a little chubby and Im just not happy with myself. I got my first boyfriend ever and ive seen all his old girlfriends and they look like skinny models lol. I have really low self-esteem, so it doesn't help lol. Im hopeing I can lose this weight by November. Thats 6 months and I want to weigh 135 by June 13th (my birthday). I know im not terribly overweight but I dont feel pretty, so Im doing this for myself ^^. I hope I can stay motivated and dedicated. I think ive been reading too much online about how to lose the weight and keep it off. Im so confused and right now im going to the gym everyday and doing cardio for 30 min. I also run in the morning with my chihuahua for 30 minish. So thats 60 min a day of cardio. Im a vegetarian so eating healthy isnt that bad for me. I used to just munch on sweets and it made me gain soooo much weight. I used to be 160 and just casually starting losing it. (I dont know how) So now im 140, I cut out all sweets, all fast food and I mostly munch on veggies and fruits. Ive read that its better to eat 4-6 meals a day rather than 3 big ones, so Ive been trying. I also heard drinking 8 glasses of water is good for losing weight too, so Ive been doing that. Well thanks for reading and wish me luck :D any advice would be great too. thanks

Hi and welcome!

Have you found the vegetarian threads? We also have threads about self esteem and looking good and/or appreciating how we look. Make yourself at home. We're glad you're here.

Hi Hannah:sunny:

It sounds like you're off to a great start! I am 51 yrs old now and I can still relate to the way you feel at your age.

I wish I had gotten a grip back then, and I'm greatful to be working on it now.

There are lots of great forums here. I am off sugar and white flour right now and am feeling great.

Best Wishes!

I'm feeling the same way, but I don't seem to be as motivated as you, so good work and good luck!
