Everything old is new again...

Hello to all. I am an old poster, coming back after being away a little over two years.
I am looking for a lot of support, because I weigh more now than ever before. I am so ashamed of my out of control eating habits. I can't do it alone. I will not use medication, I want to change the way I do things. Food is a comfort addiction for me. I don't smoke, don't gamble, don't drink, don't shop a whole lot, but I sure know how to put away a pint of ice cream. :( I also suffer with an autoimmune illness that causes burning/stiffness in my joints. I am hoping to lose some weight in order to alleviate some pressure.

Anyway, thanks to anyone who took the time to read my re-introduction of myself.

Hi Aqua-
I am a returning poster as well. I finally realized that I am not going to lose weight unless I find some support. I want to lead a healthier lifestyle and break this weight roller coaster I have been riding on.
Hope to see you around!

Hi! I'm glad you've both come back.

Settle in and don't leave again!

Hi Aqua, and welcome back!

Food is a very challenging addiction to deal with.....other substances you can just walk away from but not so with food. I wish you all the best in your journey, and hope the pain from your illness is alleviated (or at least more manageable) very soon.

Welcome! I too, came back. Although I can hardly say that because I wasn't much here the first time. I guess I just wasn't ready to commit to it the first time. I TOTALLY am now...five weeks in. You, too, can do it. Everyone here is VERY supportive! Good luck!!! :)

:) Thanks so much for all the kind "welcome's". I will be settling in, this time for keeps. I need this place, it's way too hard for me on my own.

Thanks again, can't wait to get back in the mix over here. :grouphug:

You might want to give yourself a trying at blogging. 3FC has a great blog system, that serves dual purposes;

1. it let's you keep track of anything personal you want to; feelings, food journal, measurements, whatever.
2. let's you follow other people's blogs and they, yours.

It's helped me a LOT! :)

Thank you so much! I was thinking something just like that is what I needed, and I haven't had the time to peek around to find out what I can do. Thank you! I swear, it was like you were reading my mind! :)

It gives an explanation, is the place to sign up for one, and/but at the bottom of that page is two columns: left column tracks most recently updated blogs, and right column lists the newest blogs. Plus, most of us with blogs have links in the area below our name/stats here in the forum posts. :)
