Hello-

I am a 30 year old from Seattle. In the last year and a half I have lost 30 lbs with regular strength training classes and cardio (combined for 4-6 times a week) and a healthier vegan diet.
I am ready to drop those last 20, maybe only 10-15 (we'll see how that feels), and it has been SO HARD!!!!
I know it gets harder the closer you become to an "ideal" weight, but I am really struggling. Due to a shoulder injury, I am cutting way back on the weights, and focusing on cardio (mostly intense elliptical intervals and jogging 6 days a week) for a few more weeks. I am very muscular already, so I hope it won't do too much damage?
Diet wise, I am trying to incorporate SuperFoods into my diet with the suggested servings and frequency (found the list here:D) and keep it around 1500 calories a day. The goal overall would be to limit any refined sugars or carbs, eat more vegetables, beans, and whole grains, and design every meal around a good protein source. I have recently added fish into my diet (still no eggs or dairy) and it's working very well for me.
My first goal is to lose 5 lbs in 25 days.
After that, I would like to lose the next 5 in four weeks.
That last ten...eek-who knows?????

I would love to meet others here on this board with similar or completely different takes on this whole dieting experience.

Good luck everyone, and thanks for the support.

:welcome: Sounds like you have a plan!

I would just caution you about time-bound weight goals. I found that - even though I stayed PERFECTLY on plan, often that pesky scale did not cooperate. PARTICULARLY as I got closer to goal.
