Hello from New York
 

Hello all - I decided to introduce myself right away rather than wait and get cold feet!

I'm 43 yrs old - and live in Upstate NY - near Rochester. My daughters are adults and I live by myself.

I had gastric bypass 2/10/05 and lost 140 lbs. In the last 2 years I've seen the scale creep back up 30 lbs - due mainly in part to lack of dilligence - and not having a support network.

So here I am! I'm ready to take it off - and glad to have found such a large community of folks to share this part of the journey with!

I'm looking forward to being here!

I'm a newbie here also and wanted to say hi!! Sounds like we are about the same age and close to the same starting weight. My biggest problem seems to be my children leaving the nest. I have 2 older daughters (23 and almost 20) and a son graduating high school next weekend. I've always been extremely involved in my childrens lives, and wouldn't you know they want to leave me!! Imagaine that. LOL
