'ello!

Hello, everyone!

I graduate in a week and want to get serious about taking off the extra pounds that living in the library has tacked on to my body. I'm starting fresh with diet and exercise, and will use this forum to keep my eye on the ball.

I've pretty much worked through my food issues; "intuitive eating" while banning the foods that are problematic for me seems to work best. (I know some people will disagree with that approach, but I am horrible at moderation and very good at following all-or-nothing rules. It's just how I operate.). I don't plan to count calories or anything. But I definitely need to step it up on the exercise front! That's my biggest hurdle. I went for a walk today, and am going to slowly, slowly ease into the Couch-to-5k plan starting tomorrow. I can't even do the first step on the plan! I can only run for like 3 minutes total, even with breaks in between! Lordy, I'm so out of shape. There are people on this forum with a lot more to lose who are in much better shape, so I can't blame my weight here. Just... laziness, I guess. Or failure to make it a priority.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to changing my life. Best of luck to anyone who is reading this- we can do it. :)
