Newbie here, lots to learn
I just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I found this site this morning after looking for some support in my weight loss adventure. I have always been slightly overweight (about 20 pounds) from the recommended amount until this past year. Over the last year I have gained 60 pounds. I haven't changed anything in my life over the last year, not eating any more than I always have, eating the same types of foods I always have, not doing any more or less excercise that I have always done. The only difference I can see is that I turned 50! I went into the doctor for my annual checkup and my cholesterol numbers are through the roof, blood pressure is high and dear ole doctor put me on 5 medications. I am not the type to take meds, so the alternative is to lose the weight! I am new to dieting so I have a lot to learn. What an adventure this will be!
