I still look pregnant...

Hi everyone. My name is Allison, and I'm a fat chick. I had my son in December, and I still look 6 months pregnant. The hard part is that I'm still breastfeeding, so I don't know exactly what I'm "allowed" to do about this, and how much of it I just have to "deal with" until my son weans. I'm 33 years old, and I really would like to get back in shape, and get a semblance of my old body back before I get pregnant again (hopefully in another 15-18 months or so). I don't think that's an impossible goal. I just need to do SOME-thing soon, because my self esteem is starting to wane a little bit, and my sex drive is going right down the tube with it. I hate the way that my belly looks, all flabby and stretched out. I would really appreciate some ideas for toning, and some support while I'm on my road to recovery. Who here is in the same boat, and wants to be "buddies"? I live in Phoenix, AZ, so anyone in this area would be fantastic!

I had a baby in December as well, and I am in the exact same boat as you! I have almost 50 pounds to loose and need help. My self esteem is gone right now and with that my sex drive has gone too.

I breastfed my son until he was nine months old and I waited until I was almost finished before I began to try to lose weight. I wish I hadn't. As long as you're drinking lots of fluids and eating enough calories your milk supply shouldn't decrease. Congratulations on deciding to be healthy for yourself and your baby. Good luck on your way!
