Long-time lurker here.
I thought it was about time I introduced myself. I'm Kelli, I'm 23, and I'm from North Carolina. I'm starting school again this fall to be a social studies teacher.
As you can see by my s/c/g thingy over there, I would like to lose a pretty good amount, and I've already lost some. I'm going with calorie counting and exercising more and it's working so far, albeit slowly. I've been overweight since the age of 8. I developed issues with overeating after some family drama, and those issues just stuck around and got worse over time. Up until last year, I had pretty much accepted that I was just a big girl, but in September I ended up in the hospital with gallstones and stomach ulcers (at 22!). That made me realize that I was NOT doing my body any favors by living on junkfood and energy drinks and working full time on the third shift. It took me a little while to figure out the route I was going to take, and I've been making some good changes in small steps since mid-December. Anyway, sorry for writing a book! I really look forward to posting more and continuing to be inspired by you all. :carrot: |
Hello
I just wanted to say congrats on your weight loss thus far and the decision to change. It's hard. I have been on a weight loss rollercoaster my whole life, with this being my heaviest (which is why I am here...again). Good luck with everything :)

Hey Freezerpop - :wel3fc:
We have a great Calorie Counters forum here...as well as the 20-somethings forum, for those in that age range. There are all kinds of other forums too, so look around! Can't wait to get to know you better! |
Welcome to 3FC!
