New and nervous....
Hey guys,
I'm Amanda, and I'm 28 years old in need of a serious routine revamp. I am all too familiar with losing weight, as I do have a history of anorexia and bulimia. The thing is , I used to be underweight but now am on the higher end of healthy but also somewhat flabby and out of shape. My goal is not entirely weight loss, but also a lifestyle change that will help me gain energy and tone up. I am being upfront with my goals simply because I have gone overboard in the past. If I gain more weight or keep this inactive lifestyle going I will become obsessive and depressed, but also need to make sure that does not happen as I work on it now. Therefore I must watch carefully and writing usually helps me with that. Hopefully I do not sound self-absorbed revealing all of this info in my introductory post, and want to emphasize that I intend to give support as well. I really look forward to meeting people here-you all seem so nice, not to mention inspiring! :dancer: |
Hey Amanda! :wel3fc: from another Amanda.
A couple of spots you might want to jump into - we have our 20-somethings (for those in that age range), a Chicks in Control forum (for those who struggle with disordered eating patterns), and the "Featherweights" (for those starting at a weight close to their goal weight...it definitely presents unique challenges). Look around, settle into all or any of those spots, or any other spot that strikes your fancy, jump on into posting, and get going. Can't wait to get to know you better! |
Welcome to 3FC! Surf around and settle in. I'm glad you're here!

Mandalinn-- I will check those forums out, thanks for the suggestions. BTW, congrats on a job well done. The maintaining is just as impressive as the loss, actually more so, maintainence is tough. Good for you! midwife--Thanks for the welcome, I like the miles concept you have going too. Good going both of you and thanks again for making me feel welcome! Amanda |
