Hello from Southern Indiana
 

Greetings, I'm Caitlin from Indiana. I was referred to this forum by a friend from another forum I frequent and I can't thank her enough for that.

A few days ago I went in for my yearly and talked to my doctor about some issues I'd been having, though I thought they were nothing. Well the doctor ordered a blood test and the results came back that I have PCOS. I have no idea what to do and quite honestly this all came out from the middle of nowhere. Come to find out I have a family history of this from my paternal grandmother's side. I was shocked and to be honest I knew, still know next to nothing about my newfound condition. I have joined to gain support, advice, and information from women in similar positions or who know people in similar positions. I'm also here to help get a firm grip on my weight which I've been struggling with my whole life it seems.

I know I'll enjoy the site and I look forward to all the information it has to offer.

I know a diagnosis like that can be scary, but you will find others on here who can help you cope.

Hey Caitlin!

We have a great "PCOS/Insulin Resistance" forum here for those struggling with PCOS...I have it too, so I'm with you on the difficulty it causes.

We also have forums by age range, amount to lose, eating plan, etc...look around! You'll find LOTS of spots where you fit perfectly. Then just settle in and get to posting.
