Hi, I'm new and happy to have found 3FC!
Hi, I'm about to turn 35 and have just weighed in at 162lbs, which is only 3lbs over my lowest weight since Sep.04.
I had my thyroid removed in '02 and have had problems with hypothyroidism, depression and anxiety. Now that I'm approaching my lowest weight in years, I'm realizing I have many, many problems accepting that I deserve to be healthy and thin. After '04 I regained the 30lbs I lost plus about 20 more. My highest was late '06-early '07. In April '07 I caught the flu and ended up with an arrythmia. My BP was sky high and I was put on an ACE inhibitor. That scared me and I lost 30lbs. In late '07 my healthy lifestyle was sidetracked because I indulged too much (hey, I'd earned it, right?), and then my thyroid medicine was changed which wreaked havoc and put me totally off track for at least 6 months, if not more. '08 was the year of overindulgence. I was dealing with a lot of emotional issues and would lose 5-8 pounds only to gain it back after a week of fast food. As '08 wound down I knew I just felt unhealthy. I was encouraged that I'd lost the 30lbs in '07 so shouldn't I continue? Toward the end of Dec. and early Jan. I figured out what new behaviors I needed to replace the old ones: exercise (so I rejoined my gym which gave me 5 free PT sessions, which has been crucial), less alcohol, less sugar, more veggies. The gum has helped me out immensely, it helps me keep it all in perspective and I love how I feel after I work out. My body has already responded to my new routine and it's only been 34 days (but who's counting?). Happy to be here & looking forward to getting to know others learning how to treat themselves well, Just Fluffy |

Your routine must be working for you and thats great! I myself am doing WW with following the points and just making healthier choices and being aware of EVERYTHING I put into my mouth. Good luck to you!
