Re-Introduction

Hello Everyone,

My name is Melissa, I have been fighting my weight for as long as I can remember. I am currently 38 years old with over 58 pounds to loose and I am hoping to succeed this time.

About 7 years ago, I was on a diet that was 35, 55 and 75 grams of carbs, that rotated every three weeks to encourage proper weight loss. I am also having a smaller battle trying to exercise with my left shoulder being treated for being frozen.

I am trying to get my butt in gear and start walking on the treadmill at work, but I hate to exercise. The only real exercise I ever liked was weight lifting and martial arts training, but both are on the back burner for now.

I am hoping to find some people out here that might be willing to give me some encouragement while I try to lose weight again. :frypan: Thanks for listening.

Hey Melissa. We are the same age! Welcome. You can do this. We are all here for your support system. What methods are you going to try?

Yup. I sure asked for the frying pan. Maybe, it will knock some sense into me to stay focused on my diet.

Welcome Melissa!!

We have a 30 something forum that is quite active.

You have a treadmill at work? I am so jealous! Do you have an iPod? Even if music won't quite do it for you, some people have downloaded books or podcasts, whatever you like. Also, we have a 1000 miles in 2009 challenge down in the exercise forum. You can set your goal for whatever you want---200 or 300 miles in the year. Lots of support and it's fun to watch the mileage rack up.
